Amokura Panoho has 30 years+ experience in relationship management and engagement, leading  community, and people-centered strategy development, planning and delivery programmes.

Through her consultancy Kura Consulting Limited she works with organisations to strengthen their capacity to deliver strategic outcomes for Māori communities, hapū and Iwi.  Clients have included Te Matatini Society, Business Mentors NZ, Te Puni Kōkiri, Auckland Council, Parininihi ki Waitotara Inc. Amokura also is a freelance writer, predominantly writing features on Māori leadership and entrepreneurship.

Amokura was the inaugural chair of Shakti Asians Women’s Group as well as a previous trustee of Auckland Foundation and her tribal authority Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa. As the chair for Parihaka Papakainga Trust and part of Kawe Tūtaki she led the negotiations for a settlement with the Crown, with the Te Pire Haeata ki Parihaka/ Parihaka Reconciliation Bill being legislated in 2019.

Presently she is the Poutaki Matauranga Māori for Netsafe, and co-chair for Te Pūkotahitanga, the ministerial advisory committee to the National Te Aorerekura strategy for Domestic Abuse and Sexual Harm.
