Mentors for Maori businesses
A recent hui at Hoani Waititi marae in Tamaki Makaurau brought together some heavy hitters from the business world and a group of Maori businesspeople. One of the organisers was Amokura Panoho, who's a veteran of Maori economic development. She says there are a lack of Maori business mentors and the hui drew on the experience of a board member from a billion dollar business, corporate executives and linked them with Maori businesses across sectors such as marketing, creative media, and the arts.
